In commemoration of Karate Day, the Inaugural Dedication will be performed by people who have been recognized the prefecture as Intangible Cultural Asset Holders, at the Special Dojo of the Okinawa Karate Kaikan. This demonstration will pay tribute to our predecessors who created, nurtured and passed down the art of karate. It will also promote the recognition of “Karate Day” and “Okinawa, the birthplace of karate”, both domestically and internationally.
